"Fit for Poland III" Training Program

The Polish-Hungarian Chamber of Commerce is launching its annual "Fit for Poland III" Training Program for Hungarian startups, micro- small- and medium-sized enterprises.
This year, the Chamber simultaneously hosts its new "Doing Business in Hungary" Training Program, targeting Polish counterparts.
Application Information
The "Fit for Poland III." Training Program aims to support, develop, and mentor innovative Hungarian startups, while facilitating their business development and networking opportunities in Poland.
By participating in the program, startups will gain comprehensive knowledge of opportunities in the Polish market through workshops, mentoring, and experience sharing. The program also helps participants improve their operational effectiveness and develop a deeper understanding of the Polish business environment.
Participation in the program includes:
- in-person training session, company visits in Budapest
- in-person training session, company visits in Gdansk
- a mentoring and closing session
In addition, the program includes two networking events:
- one in Budapest, Hungary (09. September 2026)
- and one in Gdansk, Poland (29. September 2026)
- and a mentoring and closing session (08. October 2026)
where participating startups will have the opportunity to establish connections with Polish businesses, partners, investors, and potential customers.
Participants will also have the opportunity to connect with representatives of Polish institutions and organizations that support innovative startups. Following the in-person training sessions, networking events will be organized to allow participants to put the knowledge gained during the training into practice.
Furthermore, the program provides opportunities to build relationships with executives and decision-makers from companies operating in Poland.
1. Eligibility Requirements
To be successfully admitted to the program, startups must meet the specified eligibility criteria.
Applications may be submitted under the following conditions:
a. The applicant must be a sole proprietor or a company registered in Hungary with an innovative business idea.
b. The applicant must be an innovative startup.
c. Applications must be submitted before the deadline and include:
- the completed application questionnaire, and
- a self-introduction video in English of no more than 5 minutes.
When preparing the application materials, applicants should aim to present their innovative idea as clearly as possible so that the evaluation committee can easily understand its purpose.
d. All mandatory questions in the application form must be answered thoroughly.
e. Accepted startups are expected to actively participate in the program and cover their own travel and accommodation expenses for the events in Budapest and Gdansk.
f. Due to the international nature of the program, proficiency in English is a prerequisite for participation.
2. Evaluation Process
Applications will be evaluated by a three-member selection committee, including two independent external evaluators appointed by the Polish–Hungarian Chamber of Commerce.
Evaluation criteria include:
- project quality,
- growth potential,
- the capabilities of the team, and
- alignment with the mission of the program.
Important Dates
- Application deadline: August 7, 2026
- Notification of results: August 20, 2026
A detailed schedule of the program and event dates will be sent to successful applicants after their application has been accepted.
3. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights related to the ideas and projects presented during the program remain the exclusive property of the participating startups.
The organizers respect participants' intellectual property rights and will treat all application materials as confidential information.
4. Changes to the Program
The organizers reserve the right to modify the duration, schedule, or any other aspect of the program. Participants will be informed of any changes in a timely manner, and every effort will be made to minimize any inconvenience.
5. Submission
Please submit the completed application form together with all required attachments no later than the application deadline.
The Polish-Hungarian Chamber of Commerce provides participation in the “Fit for Poland III” Training Program free of charge up to 5 Hungarian startups or SMEs. Apart from participation the Polish-Hungarian Chamber of Commerce cannot cover travel or accommodation costs to Budapest or Gdansk.
